Brody

In the blog below I left out Brody. So to right that wrong, here he is. Such a sweet boy. He loves to play, and give kisses and get tummy rubs. And I just discovered that he LOVES Jarlsberg cheese (as do his siblings). Quickest way to get him to do "sit" and "come". :-)
Oh how we are going to miss him when he goes to his new family this weekend.

Pochi now has a Forever Family

We are so thrilled to announce that our adorable Pochi is now spoken for. He and his Forever Family have found each other.

So all the pups out of my June litter from Yuki x Zack are almost 11 weeks old and soon will be leaving for their respective families. Except for Honey of course, she is staying here.

Pochi's new name is Toshi so we started calling him that.
Here is a photo of (from l to r) Toshi, Honey & Alfie. Brody was napping at the time.

Pochi still looking for his Forever Family

While he is still not old enough to leave us (they turn nine weeks old tomorrow) Pochi is the only one of the litter still awaiting his Forever Family. He is pure white, though his ears are a bit cream colored. He has gorgeous eyerings and fantastic pigment, and is so sweet. He loves to kiss and cuddle, and play with his siblings.

Max has his Forever Home, and his new name is ALFIE

We are so happy to announce that Max has found his Forever Family. His new name is ALFIE, and his new parents can't wait till he is old enough to join them in their home.We now call him the Water Baby, since he is totally fascinated with the water in the bowl, and really loves it when we put in ice cubes. He loves the water so much he even sleeps next to it!

New photos of Max

Max is our little black and white boy, if you can call a splotch of black at the base of his tail "black and white". The color on his head is fading quickly. I think he will have lovely black tips on his ears when he grows up. Just like mama Yuki.
He and his brother Pochi are still looking for their Forever Families.

New photos of POCHI

Took new photos yesterday of Pochi. He is turning eight weeks old tomorrow. Time flies. He is so sweet and loving and enjoys playing outside with his siblings.

The puppies are growing so fast

Amazing that they turn seven weeks old today. Need to take new photos this weekend, but for the time being I am posting the ones I took a few days ago. They grow so fast that to me they already look different. LOL!!

Honey, the girl who is staying here at Ardsley Cotons, has all the buff on her body, but that is growing out already (ah, that Coton de Tulear Dilute Gene in action), and then those cute boys--- The pure white Pochi; Zorro with just the color on his head and the pure white body; and Max, with the black spot on his rump.

Our newest litter from Yuki & Zack

On June 4th Yuki and Zack had their second litter together: three boys and one girl. This coming Friday they will be four weeks old so I thought it was about time to debut them on my blog. One of the boys is black and white. Although the black on his body is relegated to a spot the size of a quarter on his lower back near the base of his tail, and he has black of course on his head. The rest of his coat is stunning white, and the coat is thick and gorgeous. We call him Max. Our second boy is white with black on his head, so technically he is a white Coton. We call him Zorro because of the beautiful black eyering that looks like a mask. We expect that when he grows up the black will be gone, and all that will be left is some on his ears. Our third boy is pure white, though we see a bit of cream color coming in on his ears. We call him Pochie.(Pronounced with a long "O" sound, as in Edgar Allen Poe.) And finally there is the girl, who was born with extraordinary color. Sort of a dark buff with black hairs mixed in. We call her Honey, and she is not available because she is going to be staying with us at Ardsley Cotons. The three boys are available to go to approved homes.

KIKU!!

Five weeks ago we got another Coton! She is from the same breeder as our boy Zack: La Cotonnerie in Quebec, Canada. www.cotonnerie.com You can find her on the American Coton Club website Breeder Directory, just like me.

My new little girl's pedigree name is Cotonnerie Origami, but we call her "Kiku" which is the Japanese word for chrysanthemum.

She is the daughter of Cotonnerie Oceane & Cotonnerie Soprano; born March 13th, 2010.

She is just so sweet and smart and full of life and fits in perfectly with our family. Her favorite past-time is running after Zack, and so far she has not found a treat she didn't like! :-)

Thank you Sara for this precious, beautiful girl. We hope to see beautiful offspring with her & Zack in 2012.

AMELIE & ZACK'S LITTER -- FOLLOW UP

Well, it has been awhile since I posted. So long that all five of Amelie & Zack's pups are now living in their Forever Homes. It was very sad to see them go, but they are all very very happy. The photos are, from left to right: Teemu, Monti, Sadie, Sami B. and last but certainly not least is Ike.

Amelie's pups are 7 weeks old today

Amazing to think that seven weeks have passed since these five adorable pups were born. All of them are spoken for, and we have had a few of the Forever Families visit, with more to come.
The pups are so sweet, and playful, though most of the time they sleep. :-)

website in the works

I am very excited to say that it won't be long till my website is up and running. In the meantime, info on my Cotons can be found here, and also, on FACEBOOK, where I have a page. So if you are on Facebook, do a search for "ARDSLEY COTONS" and check us out. I posted lots of photos. I also hope when you are there you click "like" which means you will become a fan. I also just realized that I had forgotten to post photos of the parents of the newest litter! They are Zack (who is pure white and my stud male for all my litters) and Amelie, who was born a tri-color but still has lovely color on her ears and touches of amber on her body.

Ozzie

And this is Ozzie. Pure white.. and the last one born. He seems to gravitate to the little Warthog when he decides to snooze.

brother & sister

So cute how the pups are starting to pair off and not be just one "puppy pile". Here is Bijou cuddling up to his sister Lillie. Bijou is the one with the dark color, and Lillie has very pretty buff on her head and the most amazing black pigment already in on her eyes and nose.
